Prolific and Intellectual Property (IP) Crime Prosecutions
Private prosecutions are becoming increasingly important in tackling prolific and IP crime, particularly as traditional prosecutions have been impacted by reduced resources within Trading Standards, Police, and other enforcement agencies.
Specialist teams employ proactive policing techniques to gather compelling evidence of offences in action. This evidence is collated and reviewed by experienced legal partners to ensure it meets the standards required for criminal proceedings.
In IP crime cases, enforcement action may be undertaken in partnership with Trading Standards and/or Police to secure evidence and recover counterfeit goods. Expert IP lawyers with deep knowledge of the illicit trade industry then lead prosecutions through the courts.
Financial Investigation Teams may also be engaged to identify criminal proceeds and assets, ensuring these are recovered or seized at the conclusion of the case.
